Baked Chicken recipe calls for White wine???

What type of white wine would be good? Not Brand, but what type?

ThanksBaked Chicken recipe calls for White wine???
chardonay will be great or a Pino Grigio will also be great. Do no use Cooking wine as those have salt in them as a preservative.

Use the white wine to cook and use the same wine during the meal for a quick match.

Do not use a White Zinfindel as they would be sweet.

If its a fish dish, make a burre Blanc(shallot, garlic, butter, flour) with a cheap champagne. Baked Chicken recipe calls for White wine???
I would use what ever I am drinking, a Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonney.
Any white wine that you would drink would work. Personally, I like to cook with a pinot grigio - it's not too dry or too sweet and generally compliments most seasonings.
I would use a medium dry white wine.
chardonnay is always good for cooking, IMO

reisling would also work
Use whatever you would normally drink with chicken, it's not critical.

Use a wine that you want to drink with it.

I personally will tend to use a chardonnay or pinot grigio
Anything that tastes good to you in the glass would work well. If you don't like it when you drink it you aren't going to like it on or in any food. If you don't like white wine period try white grape juice, or apple juice.
The alcohol will burn away so the question becomes if you prefer a sweeter white vs. an oak-y white. If you prefer a sweeter go with a mid-class gewurztraminer wine. Any CA chardonnay will give you the oakiness.

For most recipes I try to use a mid-point Reisling (abotu $10/12 bottle). It's fun to drink but won't overpower any of the other tastes in the dishes. You can buy small bottles at the front counter of your liquor store if you just want to have wine on hand to experiment with in cooking.
