This recipe claims to be ';authentic'; try it!
Well, I could tell you.....but then I'd have to shoot you. And I really don't want to do that. So I'll just keep it a secret. Maybe the Colonel will tell you.
I cant tell you...its a secret!!!
u answered ur own question!

SECRET recipe duhhh!!
Wow, i dont think anyone who knows it will disclose that to you, K.F.C. chicken is processed and seasoned in a factory and shipped frozen to franchisees, ready to be fried. I do know however that KFC's secret is with their combination of spices and herbs. Even if i knew the herbs and spices, it wouldnt turn out the same because the ratio of each herb and spice is unknown, and that is the most important part.
I believe it is a corporate secret.
THE SECRET RECIPE

Still a Secret

For years, Colonel Harland Sanders carried the secret formula for his Kentucky Fried Chicken in his head and the spice mixture in his

car. Today, the recipe is locked away in a safe in Louisville, Kentucky. Only a handful of people know that multi-million dollar recipe,

and each is obligated to strict confidentiality by contract.

The Beginning of the Original

The Colonel developed the formula back in the 1930s when he operated the Sanders Court %26amp; Cafe restaurant and motel in Corbin,

Kentucky. There, his blend of 11 herbs and spices first developed a loyal following of customers.

“In those days, I hand-mixed the spices like mixing cement on a specially cleaned concrete floor on my back porch in Corbin,” the

Colonel recalled. “I used a scoop to make a tunnel in the flour and then carefully mixed in the herbs and spices.”

The Recipe Goes High Tech

Today, security precautions protecting the recipe would make James Bond proud. One company blends a formulation that represents

part of the recipe while another spice company blends the remainder. As a final safeguard, a computer processing system is used to

standardize the blending of the products to ensure neither company has the complete recipe.

“It boggles the mind just to think of all the procedures and precautions the company takes to protect my recipe,” the Colonel said,

“especially when I think how Claudia and I used to operate. She was my packing girl, my warehouse supervisor, my delivery person—

you name it. Our garage was the warehouse.”

“After I hit the road selling franchises for my chicken, that left Claudia behind to fill the orders for the seasoned flour mix. She'd fill

the day's orders in little paper sacks with cellophane linings and package them for shipment. Then she had to put them on a midnight

train.”

Little did the Colonel and Claudia dream in those days that his Secret Recipe of 11 Herbs %26amp; Spices would be famous around the world.
shhhhhhhhh! secret =)
When I worked there in high school, it came already bagged, and it was a secret...blend...

The batter is really just flour, salt, black pepper, and msg. The real secret is the way in which the chicken is cooked. Kentucky Fried Chicken is made in a pressure cooker rather just in a frying pan or deep fryer.

KFC Copy Cat recipe

INGREDIENTS

6 cups Crisco cooking oil

1 egg beaten

2 cups milk

2 cups all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons of salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

2 frying chickens with skin, each cut into 8 pieces

Pour the oil into pressure cooker and heat over medium heat to about 400 degrees.

In a small bowl combine the egg and milk.

In a separate bowl, combine the remaining dry ingredients.

Dip chicken pieces in the egg and milk mixture. Roll the moistened chicken in the flour mixture until completely coated.

In groups of 4 or 5 pieces, drop the coated chicken pieces into the oil and lock the lid in place.

When steam begins shooting through the pressure release, set the timer for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, release the pressure according to the manufacturer's instructions and remove the chicken to paper towels or metal rack to drain. Repeat with remaining chicken.

NOTE - You may not have a pressure cooker, but this recipe is good frying in the standard way. Just adjust your timing until chicken is done. But, if you have a pressure cooker, please use it....it's great!

NOTE - I make and use this spice mixture and add about 3 tablespoons of it to my flour for extra flavor. This spice mixture can be made and kept in a tightly sealed jar and used to flavor soup, sprinkle on roasting chicken, for stuffing, etc. The choice is yours.

I wish i knew.....
No matter what anyone tells you, the KFC recipe is as closely guarded as Coca Cola's. The KFC store owners don't have a clue.
Drop it on the floor a couple of times, spit on it and pick your nose before you pick it up, and make sure it comes from Arkansas.
