I love this one, have made it many times....
Sauteed Chicken In Cream Sauce
2 whole chicken breast, split, boned, skinned
2 Tbls. margarine
1 1/2 cups mushroom slices
1 cup celery slices
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp. chervil leaves, crushed (I don't put this one in it)
1/8 tsp. thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 cup dry white wine or sherry
1 8-ounce cream cheese, cubed
1/3 cup milk
2 1/2 cups (8 ounces) tri-colored corkscrew noodles, cooked, drained.
Cut chicken into strips. Melt margarine in large skillet; add chicken, vegetables and seasonings. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add 2 tbls. wine; simmer 5 minutes. Combine cream cheese, milk and remaining wine in saucepan; stir over low heat until smooth. To serve, place noodles on serving platter. Top with chicken mixture and cream cheese mixture.
makes 4 to 6 servings..unless you have a husband that's like mine that eats like there is no tomorrow..lol
Casserole
To make any casserole; use a base of cooked rice or any pasta.
Pre-cook your beef, chicken, or fish, then slice, chop, or tear up.
Add diced celery, onion, or peppers, for some flavour %26amp; crunch.
Throw in any vegetables you like: peas, corn, carrots, or green beans.
Mix the cream soup of your choice with milk or water, %26amp; pour over.
You can top with bread-crumbs, grated cheese, or sprinkle paprika.
Bake the whole thing at 400F until bubbly %26amp; browned.
Why not make a white sauce with:
butter
flour
milk
or
Alfredo Sauce (I think they are the same thing)?
look on cooks.com. i like this website.
